Paying for non-existent video surveillance

I had stuff from my property in Linden yesterday. I pay every month for the cameras that ADT have installed in all the roads in Linden. I spent over 20 minutes on the phone yesterday trying to find someone to review video footage of my street to see if they could spot the and get an image of him. I was passed from pillar to post with no-one actually knowing who to speak to about this. I was promised that someone would phone me back within 10 minutes. I'm still waiting. I pay for the videos for my property's protection and ADT were very quick to sell this service to me, but if it doesn't work, what's the point in paying for the service? Their staff's "don't care" attitude is also very concerning because no-one wants to help, they just transfer your call. What happens if this was a life-threatening event?? I've paid for video surveillance, and I want the images of this criminal leaving my street, which I saw him do!
