Cancellation of the Altech Netstar policy

I registered my car with altechnetstar at the beginning of the year... the contract was for 36 months as per service provider..the agent who assisted me on the application of the policy/contract didn't indicated all terms and conditions of the policy and i the applicant of the policy didn't sign for the installation of the contract as the service provider didn't come to the property on the date of arrangement for the installation of the tracking device..8/9 months later i sold my car and made contact with the service provider to cancel the policy but i was informed that the policy cannot be cancelled due to the contract and if the policy was to be cancelled i have to pay a fee of over R2000.00..i advised the agent that was the point of paying the policy if i am not in possession of the car any more..the agent replied that its non of their business they will deduct the money as per contract.
