On Friday 13 Sept at 22h55 my alarm went off. After waiting for 15 mins I contacted them telling them everything is okay. At 23h29 I got a call from ADT responding to my alarm. This is not within the 5 mins as stated in the contract and after I already phoned them assuring them everything was fine. The reason for the long delay according to the person at ADT was because they had a high alarm volume. Is this my problem? Then to just exacerbate the problem I got a call from ADT at 04h35 to give me feed back on my alarm situation. According to them they dispatched a guard to my house but nobody answered the intercom at the gate. This is probably due to the fact that the house number and the gate number differs. Although the name of each home owner is displayed on the intercom and what number must be phoned. There is also a very large notice on the intercom board with a number that can be phoned in emergencies to gain access to the complex. So either ADT is lying or somebody just couldn't bother to read the board. I get the feeling form ADT that as long as all the boxes are ticked they do not have to worry about their clients.
