Beware of ADT - Shysters I tell You

Ever get a call about a free alarm system when you sign a 3 year contract.!! I sign my first contract and at the end I was told that it was not mine. On inception of a new contract then the system would be mine. I just cancelled my 2nd 3 year contract to be told that the system is infact still theres after being told otherwise by the salesperson. Infact when I experienced my first burglary they arrived 45min after the call to them. After my first 3 year contract I called in the salesperson to upgrade my alarm system, with the impression that the first 3 years I was paying back for the free alarm system and that they would offer me additional security with signing a new 3 year contract. We did the evaluation of my current system and identified weak spots. He gave me a quotation which was unbelievably high. Having not suffered a burglar up to this point I thought I could do without it. Little did I know that these "weak spots" would later be used to break in. I am of the opinion that the details of my burglary were too precise that there was no alarm triggered as a result. My mistake was trusting an outsider with such valuable info.
