I insured my 2011 Toyota Hilux with New National Insurance through my broker Quattrosure on 23 November 2012. One of the requirements for insurance cover was the installation of a tracking unit. My broker arranged for the fitment with Netstar. Netstar contacted me about two weeks later while I was driving. I informed the agent and requested her to contact me later, which she never did and as she called from a private number I could not return the call. While on holiday in Cape Town on 9 January 2013, I received a call from Netstar and the 15th of January 2013 was the date set for the tracker installation. The 15th went by and Netstar failed to keep the appointment. On 17th January 2013 the vehicle was from my house. My claim was rejected by New National. My broker Quattrosure believes that Netstar is responsible as they have failed to keep two appointments which resulted in financial loss for me.
