Never really worked

Hi

We moved into our house two and a half years ago and one of the first things we wanted to do was sort out security. What we got with ADT was a not fair.

From installation we got a bad deal, they didn't care, installed what looked like a second hand power unit (with rust on the box) and wiring that had been ripped off somewhere else (with paint and all).

We then had family come over, we had given them the code but she forgot it and panicked at the beeping sound when she came in. But nothing happened after the beeping, only later when I came in from the front did the alarm go off. SO this would then obviously mean something is up with the system. I then called in to report it but I got some no real help, I wanted someone to come and have a look I mean this is security we talking about.

Now our OLD power box just died. Does this thing not recharge all day long?

So my wife called in and she was told we will be charged R400 for a technician and to replace the battery ourselves. We are cancelling in July now. The thing is we are paying for services we're not getting from them and that's basically and this from people that are suppose to protect you from such things.
