Unauthorised Bank Account Debit - R2, 000

Been using Altech Netstar for years with my previous cars. Fitted Altech Netstar tracking systems to wife's car aswell. When insurance company changed their cover, I was forced to upgrade both vehicles to a superior Altech Netstar product, retaining current systems, effectively having two tracking systems in each vehicle. The upgrade involved a three year (36 month) contractual period.

Unexpectedly transferred overseas on prolonged contract and decided to sell my car. Been battling to get hold of new owner to transfer ownership of tracking systems and in the meanwhile, continued to pay monthly premiums for Netstar products. Enquired on settlement figure as matter of interest, but was prepared to pay monthly premiums for remaining period (26 months) based on cashflow management.

On 2nd May 2013, Altech Netster, without any authorisation, took it upon themselves to debit my bank account with R1, 996.66 against the settlement figure. I enquired about a settlement and did not authorise. I understand there was a contract in place, but at no stage did I miss a payment or cancel the debit order.

Very disappointed Netstar!
