Bad Service and Poor quality of Equipment

I purchased a new HD PVR 2P in March last year. Since then its been replaced twice for a faulty hard drive. The last time it was replaced was in August last year. This morning, the HDMI port seems to have stopped working. I took it back to Multichoice in Randburg and they confirmed this but want me to pay to repair it as it is just gone out of warranty! I tried to explain to the supervisor "Shirley" that this item was just replaced in August and its bad quality but she point blank refused to help. She instead compared the PVR to a fridge. I am sorry but my fridge does not break every 3 months like my PVR! This is bad service and even worse quality of equipment!
