Two weeks ago our family went to gold reef city. Paid R1100 to get in. My 8 year old son is 1.31m tall (HONEST TO). He was told he can't get on the rides because he is taller than 1.3m. I asked the supervisor why they can't allow him as its only a cm over and as his little brother could go on the rides. They were very rude but I then told them I would complain and they told me to "go ahead". An Indian lady who witnessed the whole thing told me they are ridiculous. We then left the park with my son crying. As we left the same lady approached me and asked if I had complained and I said no as my son was very upset I just wanted to get him home. She then told me that when we left the same supervisor let a bunch of black kids on the rides that were way over 1.3m tall. She told me that they were and that I shouldn't leave it there. I am absolutely appalled at the blatant and rudeness from staff and will never set foot there again. Neither the rest of the group accompanying us. SHAME ON YOU! If all the customers are treated like this the place will close down soon.
