I have logged a report regarding the replacement of my decoder under the insurance policy sold to me. I mentioned that the insurance policy is not worth anything and that there is no guarantee that it will be honored. I still stand by it that anybody can contact me because I have the proof. A Rupert from Multichoice contacted me after my first report logged 4 Feb. I was impressed with the quick response and thought that my bad report was lodged prematurely. Rupert confirmed that he will sort it out. He agreed that the service I received was not appropriate and that he will arrange for a replacement. And then... all of a sudden Rupert disappeared. I am still without a decoder.
So to all you out there, THE INSURANCE POLICY IS NOT WORTH THE PAPER WRITTEN ON.
Rather insure it under your personal house insurance. You have a better chance when a claim need to be registered. This insurance is just to make money and I can prove it. I am and still will be the worst advertisement, reference and broadcaster regarding the DSTV insurance policy.
I have cancelled by insurance with DSTV and will approach the ombudsman in the next 7 days. And then... the media. I am off. Al the premiums...
