Disconnected despite payment made

I forgot to pay my account on the 25th. A reminder message popped up on the decoder that read as follows:
"Please pay 623.84 today and continue to be surrounded by a world of entertainment."
This message implies that if payment is made today service will continue unhindered. I immediately paid the amount outstanding in the time frame offered. However the service was suspended costing me a 30 minute phone call and they are refusing to waive the reconnection fee.
This contravenes the consumer protection act and I have lodged an official complaint with the Office of Consumer Affairs as this breaches my right to Fair and Honest Dealings.
