I complained last week about being charged for extra view in our holiday apartment and the lack of statements. This was sorted out very promptly the following morning. I called DSTV from my mobile on 15th Jan at 8.35 am to disconnect the service and at the same time gave a reminder that I am still waiting for monthly statements. I also have a text messages on my phone to asking if I had cancellled the DSTV with my reply that I did that morning.
Today I called to reconnect the service to be told that it could only be done from Cape Town as they will be sending a message to the TV set and the occupants need to call in. This is most inconvenient that my guests need to call. They called and I received the message that the service had never been suspended!
I called in to DSTV again to get clarification re the history. On record they have a call on 15th with a request only for statements- still never received. They have no record of the first call that I made today.
I sent an urgent email to Thandi with a voicemail message on the landline requesting an urgent call.
Still not received, still no statements, still difficult accounts to decipher. Overall exceptionally inconvenient service!
