Billed for a period I had disconnected services

On 2December 2013, I asked Multichoice to disconnect my services as I was going away for the month. I was asked to pay a pro-rata amount for the coverage I was getting until I left for holiday. When I returned on 4 January 2014 I called the call centre to get re-connected. The gentlemen that was helping me ensured me that my account is up to date and the next instalment is only due for end of January and it will be my normal subscription. To my horror and shock, I recently saw that I'm also supposed to pay for the month the services were disconnected for me. This is really annoying because I spent my money calling them to make sure that I don't end up paying for a service that I didn't use. I'm really disappointed at this service.
