Carnival City
MVG Benefits Complaint

Recreation & Entertainment

My sister and I visited Carnival City on Saturday 25th January 2014 in order to see the Bryan Adams show. We planned to eat at Lotta Foods as it seemed like the best option/value for money at the time. What a disappointment.
When I presented my Silver MVG card I was informed by the cashier that they no longer offer any discounts to the Silver card holders. So instead of paying the R105 per person we had to pay R140 per person.
Now to some people the additional R70 might not be much but to those of us who work according to a strict household budget it came as a bit of a shock. Needless to say, because of the hurry we were in (as all the restaurants were full and the foodcourt is a nightmare wrt to speedy service) we decided to have a quick] meal. R140 pp for a simple stir fry & a below-average dessert was beyond irritation. Granted, we were offered a free beverage when we presented our concert tickets to the cashier but seeing as the only options presented was a glass of wine or beer we passed (seeing as neither one of us consumes alcohol).
I am completely disappointed in CC's misleading advertising - [URL Removed]
