In Dec 2013, Star Sat launched their new packages which were free to air to all subscribers. A message was sent to subscribers that we had to confirm our subscription before the 10th Dec for January. I did exactly that and called on the 9th Dec to confirm that I would be subscribing to the Easy package (R 99) and the indian package (R 99). I paid R 198 at the end of December for the January Subscription. On the 23rd of jan I called StarSat due to the fact that I was not receiving a signal. I was then told that I was not downgraded to the requested packages and my account is in arrears. After much explanation I was assured by a supervisor that the recording will be pulled and my service will not be cut. I was then put thru' to technical where an incompetent person told me to get an installer out as the problem is with my dish not them. Came home the next day to see that the decoder is now picking a signal but my service had been cut. Called again, 40 min later no resolution, asked to speak to supervisor, was told he would call me back, still waiting for call! Paid for whole of January but was cut off 7 days before the end of the month. Not fair!!!
