I am a first time DSTV customer and just purchased a Explora decoder. The installation was successfull, signal strength is good. I tried activating the account but I kept getting a "smartcard pairing error". After I've spent about an hour and a half of my own airtime, calling in in excess of ten times, the kept "escalating" it to the technical department, saying they would call me with a resoluton. I never received a single call from them. After I phoned them yet again they advised me the decoder is faulty. I rushed and exchanged the decoder just to get the same result.

The service I have received is unacceptable. After spending more than R3000 for the decoder and R690 subscription per month I also have to pay for the calls waiting for service?? This issue still hasn't been resolved, I am yet to receive a phone call prom a technician or supervisor.

PS - I am also being billed for subscription in this time.
