Illogical explainaton - matter still unresolved

On the 5/09/13 i contacted Multichoice to change my contract as i have pvr with dualview - with the compact and North Indian Bouquet. All i required is the North Indian package as it is my belief that there is no justification in the pricing structure vs the benefits of compact as well as North Indian but i chose one. ( the pricing structure is another issue all together)
After speaking to client services i was informed that the changes i requested were in order. when i got home i noticed that my primary decoder was the only on that was working. i called multichoice and i explained that i called earlier requesting just one package and dualview however i was not getting any picture on my secondary decoder and both units are 9months old. After tele-support i was informed that i needed to change my RF out coaxial cable which in actual fact was 9months old. i was confused as how so randomly a cable stops working when all i did was a disconnection of one package, the teleagent could not answer either.

I did not touch any cables, and all i requested was a disconnection of the compact service. I replaced the cable and still no joy even after visiting multichoice. Disappointing
