DJ caught with cellphone, two bags, camera

Two DJ's from Shattered Glass did the music for my sons 21st on the 6-7-13.Around 11h30, the one DJ was seen taking our camera off our table, putting it into one of my bags. He answered my cellphone as it rang, spoke to the person, put it back in my bag and walked out the venue with both bags. Witnesses saw him leave, shouted, he then ran. I was coming from the bathroom, saw him running with my bags. I shouted to him what is he doing with my bags. He stopped and said they were not my bags. I walked to him and saw my camera in my one bag. I grabbed both bags back from him. Police were called and said I cannot make a case as I got the goods back (our statements were meant to be taken). All guests were very upset. One guests cellphone was missing and when we phoned it, it rang in DJ's pocket. The police arrested him and he appeared in court on the Monday. My son's laptop had alchohol spilled all over it, we found bottles of alchohol under DJ table as we had to pack up everything from the venue before we left, incl DJ equipment. Manager's reponse on the Monday was he is going to charge us with if we don't give his equipment back. No refund, or apology, whole party spoilt, not to mention trauma.
