Nu Metro
Who decides on the movie age restrictions?

Recreation & Entertainment

How does Nu Metro decide on the movie age restrictions? I ask because whoever does it is useless. Often I look at the website or movie listing at the cinema and am amazed at some of the age restrictions. Either the rating is too low or you don't have the full detail. Often either 'Language', 'Violence', 'Sex' or 'Nudity' is missing when it really should be there. And it's important as parents have different priorities and want to know the content. The Big Wedding is rated 13LNS on your site. Kudos to getting the LNS right but are you aware that IMDB, Rotten Tomatoes and Common Sense Media all have this movie rated R. How many parents are not as vigilant as they perhaps should be and rely on your ratings? There have been other movies over the months that have been incorrectly rated, but it's taken The Big Wedding to get a complaint out of me. I see a number of R rated movies rated as 16, which is debatable. But giving an R rated movie a 13 rating is ridiculous. Please explain your process to me, because it is seriously flawed.

And parents, please do your homework and know what your children are watching because Nu Metro's ratings cannot be trusted
