Being an Easy view subscriber my DSTV a/c is always in credit so on 01/05 when I opted for the North Indian Bouquet I awaited my electronic statement to make payment but was aware that my cr.bal was -R150 so decided to pay R200 on the 25th of May knowing that this was well within the subs of -R290 for this option. Imagine my surprise and alarm when on the 07/06 I receive my statement which reflected that on the 01/05 I was debited for R280.80 for May and on 02/05 I was billed another R280.80 for June leaving me with an amount o/s of -R230.00 - I then e-mailed and phoned but got no answers as both mediums stated that I had to pay the outstanding amount - however the amended statement that was sent to me now reflected that I owed R8.96 or thereabouts. I then get home and try switching on my TV only to be told you have been disconnected and am liable for a R50 re-connection fee. My numerous e-mails have not been answered and my question is why does statement go out on the 7th of each month and disconnection on the same day - how are people supposed to know their o/s balance & please do not tell me to pay by debit order as I will not do that. Furthermore when will I get answers
