Interlocking pipes

We bought a new Zodiac Genius combo last year. Since then I had to replace 4 pipes of the interlocking pipes that unravelled without being manhandled. I have twice tried to contact Zodiac but with no response to my messages that I left on their website. The biggest problem is that the new pipes are shorter than the other pipes - we need 9 pipes to cover our pool where 7 pipes previously did the job. Because of the interlocking fittings we are forced to use only their brand of pipes at a costly price, where before we could buy cheaper and longer lasting pipes.

After 26 years of using Genius pool-cleaners I can't recommend the product to anybody today.
