Property Sold in March 2013, still waiting

I sold my property on the MyRoof website in March 2013. It's nearly the end of January 2014 and I've yet to receive the proceeds from the sale of my house.

It's been a nightmare from the start with the main issues and contributing factors being:

1. Buyers incorrectly filled out/sibmitted their paperwork/deed of purchase not once but twice
2. Not receiving regular updates as to what the situation is from the people at MyRoof.
3. The buyers are dwelling in the property which is still in my name, and for which I still pay bond every month, although they do pay occupational rent.
4. Apparently the holdup is with SARS, waiting for a refund of the transfer costs.
5. Surely the attorneys of both the buyer and MyRoof should have checked paperwork before submitting it. (TWICE!)

This farcical nightmare has left me in a state of distress as I'm currently residing in the UK, hoping to have moved back to South Africa soon after the completion of the sale of my house. Which should have been no later than mid 2013.
I'm absolutely fed up now, and would like to seek legal advice as to what my rights are and if I can claim any compensation for loss of income on profit and cancelled airfare.
