Due to financial difficulties, my father had to put our home up for sale, through the Absa HelpYouSell service, or risk the bank auctioning the property. Barbara Haupt of Private Property Listings in Johannesburg, contacted us to set up an appointment to take photographs of the property, for a virtual tour..."as per ABSA's request", so she claimed.

My father had put me in charge of showing the property to potential buyers. I was graetful and relieved to hand the responsibilty over to the professionals. Barbara and I booked an appointment for this morning (14 September 2013 at 09:00). A private offer of purchase was made through Absa's MyRoof feature, during the week, which my father accepted. When I told Barbara the property had been sold, she rudely replied (and threatened): "In that case, I will tell ABSA that You denied me access to the property". ABSA granted us limited time to try and sell the property with their assistance. Apart from the accepted offer, there are back-up offers at MyRoof. I can see nor reason therefore for the need for Private Property Listings to require further access to the house or to issue threats to me to this effect.
