Using Tenants Deposit For Fixing Units

Snag lists was not done every time i re-newed my lease, only after 2 months did they go out to look at unit after i left, they held my deposit back after saying they will pay within 7 days, used my deposit to fix up building defects as well as wear and tear from staying there for a few years, their plumbers fixed a burst pipe and never came back to complete the work, they got a quote (not the original one from a cleaning company) and used my money to pay R 1 300 for labour and R 1 600 for industrial cleaning. And funny that those to things are the highest amount on the list. All the other things are R100 to R500? They put things on the list of things that is wrong, that is building defects. Like a nail that was through a piece of wood in the roof that i cant even get to. I told them to not do anything regarding cleaning and washing the place as i will send someone to do it. Again keeping in mind the place was empty for 2 months before they even went out to go to the place. I started contacting and following up with them after i gave notice to find out the process and how long it takes to finalize an account
