"Smoke and mirrors" rental concept of Maboneng

Maboneng Precint, the new funky upcoming area in Johannesburg. Propertuity is the development and property company that renovates old buildings giving them new life for trendy residential & office occupation offering the public the oppurtunity to buy or rent in the precinct. However cool and funky they appear to be, their Rental department is run like circus. Unprossionalism and an inexperinced rental agent is what I dealt with, hardly answered or returned calls or emails, was not clear and specific on the process and costs on the rental, unsure of a rental agent/process. Propertuity rental department runs a "smoke & mirrors" concept, from their advertising to final phase of the rental procedure i was not informed properly of apartment availability, rental amount per unit, extra costs of rates and water, admin fees, etc. When I confirmed that I would take a unit, I handed in my notice at my current place, booked a removal van, as to my knowledge from the rental agent all was on track. To then be informed a week before the move of extra costs and changes in agreements. When I confronted them, the appointed agent was unable to professionally handle the issue. Sad for Maboneng!
