Century 21
House purchase

Real Estate

On 22 April 2013 I purchased a house through Century21. When we moved in, we discovered huge defects that the seller did not disclose. The main problem is the roof which is leaking all over and the seller did not disclose that. We had a meeting with the agent (Beverley), her boss (Ben) and the seller. The seller refused to repair the house and Ben's attitude was: "You did not buy a new house". All Ben was interested in was his commission. After the meeting, I received a mail from the attorney that I will be held liable for his commission. The agents also did not tell me that the seller is in bad financial trouble, which means that I will waste my time to sue him for the damages. There is also no water in one of the bathrooms and no hot water in the other. The jacuzi has no water supply and electricity and according to Ben this is normal.
I just want to warn any buyers to be very careful when dealing with this company. The only thing that matters to them is their commission.
I must add here that Beverley went out of her way to help, but Ben has a total do not care attitude. Hope he remembers this when his business collapses.
