Break-in

We had a break-in take place on 2013/07/31 at about 13h00 PM. the Burglars used a weapon of some sort to break through the trelidor and enter through the front door (which is irrepairable). I live in company houseing, and immidiatly phoned the Housing department to send out somebody to have the trelidoor or at least the front door fixed (otherwise we will have no means of closing our house). WE were told that nothing can be done until a police case number can be supplied. I think this is utter rubbish. The SAPS deals with a lot more than house break-ins and might not even be able to attend to our case today..what if we can only get a case number in 2 days time... till then we have no security and safety at our home. And I not remind anyone of the crimerate in South Africa. One of Anglo American's values are safety and care and respect..Where are those values now?
