Keeping Deposits

I occupied a property in a security complex located in the East of PTA.I stayed in the top stack unit for over 2 years and paid my monthly rental via debit order. I also had to pay additional fee's to cover their bank charges which i did not have a problem with. I was unfortunately a victim of crime and was brutally attacked at the property. I ended up in Hospital ICU for 9 days as they hit me with a steel pipe which caused me brain damage, broken arm and fingers and also many cuts with stitches. Nonetheless, i have already paid for that month. When i got out of hospital, i went to Trudie (rental agent) and showed her the photos and stated that my safety is on the line and that i will have to vacate. She then said that i need to get another tenant for the property, or i will be liable for 3 months rent. She will then also not charge me for breaching the contract etc. They then sent all the internet inquiries to me and i had to take out all these clients still recovering from the attack. Nonetheless, i managed to get a tenant and also clean the unit. THEY REFUSED TO REFUND ME THE R500 AND ALSO CHARGED ME FOR CLEANING AFTER IT WAS ALREADY DONE. RENT FROM HUURKOR AND KISS YOUR DEPOSIT GOODBYE
