No Accountability

I was recommended to make use of Dolf as a letting agent, due to his management of the tenants, etc. I thus did make use of him to secure a tenant for my house, while I was overseas for 2 years. A tenant was duly secured and all was fine in the beginning. The issues occurred when I indicated I was returning to SA, and thus did not require a tenant anymore.
I had made several written requests to ensure that a proper exit inspection be carried out, and not to re-lease the tenant's deposit if there were any damaged items. Needless to say there were several, most of which should have been easily identified in an exit inspection (in excess of 15 lights had to be replaced).
When I raised this, I was told by Dolf that he was not responsible for this, as the property management company (Rent [URL Removed] was. And so it became pass the buck time, ultimately with all the unresolved issues sitting squarely on my shoulders.
In a nutshell, rentalsdotcom are great at getting a tenant, but that is where their services stop, although they claim otherwise. No accountability was taken for the management of the property, after securing the tenant.
I will not make use of their "services" again!
