Listed as Default on ITC, not responsible for pay

I have signed a rental contract (house) for six months with my Aunt. I have requested to be removed from the contract in November 2012 as I was no longer staying at the premises and cannot be held responsible for any payments. A verbal agreement was made between myself and Danel (Rental Agent at the time) that I will be automatically removed by December 2012 and will not be held responsible for any payments after November 2012. I have then learnt that I have been listed on ITC as a defaulter for rent not paid, December 2012. I requested Danel to rectify this and was given a letter by Danel to prove that the Default was taken off and that I was not responsible for payment. The default was never removed and Danel is no longer working for the company since May 2013. I have spoken to Mike JW Thorne, informing him about the incident and he told me that he never received any communication from Danel and therefore he will not assist in any way. I have explained to him that I have a letter from Danel as well to prove that I should not have been accountable for the payment. I still receive sms's regarding missed payments, but they said they cannot tell me why even if im not on the contract.
