Abridged certificate not issued

Am so off with Home Affairs after 8 months of applying for abridged certificate for my daughter last year September. I went to collect it today and I was told is not ready. What I dont understand is why does it take so long because I was told about 6 weeks.
The two ladies who were helping me were so rude that they shouted at me when I told them I was not informed that when I come for collection I must have my daughter's id number. I went there with my id book. They told me is not their responsibility to tell people what to have for collection.
I urgently need that certificate this week for my daughter's enrolment at school for grade 1.Last year she was accepted at school because I gave them receipt to show that I did apply, I tried to tell those ladies that I misplaced the receipt they gave me, so what proof must i furnish the school with to show that am still waiting for certificate.they gave me numbers to call.
I spent money to do this certificate and i must spend my money to call home affairs to lodge a complain. Am and disgusted at their poor service. No wonder they are called HORROR AFFAIRS
