Gautrain
Disgusted and disappointed!

This afternoon I took my 5 year old daughter with me to the Hatfield Gautrain station to drop off a relative. She was extremely excited about going with me as I'd told her that we'd take her on the train sometime soon. On arriving at the station my relative went through the turnstile when my daughter asked with a pained look on her face that she needed the toilet. I approached the guards at the turnstile and asked them where the toilets were. To which they said they were inside the turnstile. I asked if I could please take her as she was desperate. To which they said no that I needed to purchase two gold cards from the kiosk. I argued that all I wanted to do was take her to the toilet and that I didn't have R400 to purchase two tickets. I then asked the guard where she was supposed to go to the toilet to which they shrugged their shoulder and told me again I needed to purchase cards.By this time my daughter was in tears. I then left in a desperate attempt to get her to a toilet before she urinated in her clothes.

I understand there are regulations, but to not allow a 5 year old in tears to go to the toilet is just sick. The guards showed zero judgement and sensitivity!
