For months now and repeated e-mails and phone calls at my expense, requesting to please raise my water meter from a hole in the ground in SanLameer unit 2414, that is covered with soil and like now during heavy rainfalls totally not visible, and also unit 2004 which is absolutely on the soil next to a drain (how can any human person with brains install a meter at this level) you have to flat on your tummy and turn your head between rocks and soil and still get no reading. I spoke to absolutely just everybody in the office I repeatedly spoke to the PA of Mr Naidoo the recently appointed Head Manager of the office without success.
There are regular complaints in the papers about the service of UGU and I cannot differ from the bad service, we the committed payer of accounts has to endure. They don't give a dime they have the ability to just cut your water should you dare not to pay. It is a sick system that will NEVER function without proper management. I moved to SanLameer 2 years back and can honestly say we have NO support or collaboration from UGU. Even my e-mails directly addressed to Mr Naidoo received NO ATTENTION
