How long does it take for home affairs to give a permanent residence to some1. We applied for my husbands permanent residence since last year November, when we phone the toll free number to hear the status of the outcome, they keep telling us to phone again after 2 weeks, the system is still busy with it. What should a person do to get a permanent residence in South Africa.
