Synchronisation of timetable

I travelled on the Gautrain today - my 5th journey from OR Tambo Airport to Pretoria. I am always happy with the cleanliness, service and timekeeping. However, the schedule leaves much to be desired. I have complained before and got some lame excuse. Now this is what happens... You catch the train at ORT that goes in the direction of Sandton. Passengers going to Pretoria (the Capital City of SA) change at Marlboro. The ever helpful ground staff direct yoou to the correct platform and you swiftly make your way to catch the onward train. Alas, the train departs as you reach the last step of the escalator. This happened to me all 5 times. The next train departs in 20 minutes and you have to sit on the cold platform. Why, oh why hasn't anyone thought of synchronising the trains. If the Pretoria bound train were to depart 1 or even 2 minutes later, it would save those rushing to work at least 20 mins. Also, did anyone consider having the Pretora bound train depart from the platform directly across from the Sandton line?
