No follow through

With no mediation, myself and a colleague were dismissed on sight and forced to sign for 1 months wages by the employer, or face the consequences. We have had no joy from the Bargaining Council for Restaurants for 3 months working with the the Ccma. After much frustration we were given a date for arbitration (2/7/2013) but as yet had no conciliatory meeting. Upon requesting more details about our hearing date. the file had been lost, etc. I was sent a fax dated 5/6/2013 stating that they could not deal with the matter further and the hearing had been cancelled... nobody ever followed anything through and we are now sitting 3 months down with no income. We would like 3 months wages (March - June) and 3 months severance pay. Annie Frederiksen
