We submitted a complaint to the Ombudsman about Dial Direct Insurance refusing to settle a claim after the accident because they say we did not meet a clause in their "General Terms and Conditions". The OSTI Case is Reference No. E5713Y. We complained that, it is the responsibility of the Insurance Company to inform the Consumer of the Product fully as the seller. Dial Direct however did not send us their "General Terms and Conditions" but they send us a Policy Document of 12 Pages without this T's and C's and Dial Direct has also send a copy of this 12 page document to the OSTI for his investigations.

The OSTI has flagarantly ignored this fact that we are entiltled to the "General Terms and Conditions" of Insurance and IGNORED WHAT IS IN THE copy of the Policy Documents Dial Direct has sent him (I.E. THE SAME POLICY DOCUMENT THEY SEND US). Even seeing that from the Policy Document they sent him (The same we received at inception of contract), there are no "General Terms and Conditions" of insurance, HE STILL PROCEEDED TO RULE IN FAVOUR OF THE INSURANCE COMPANY! The OSTI has clearly shown that he is very biased and WILL ALWAYS ACT IN THE INTERESTS OF THE INSURANCE INDUSTRY!
