Misleading Subscription Charges

Sunday Times lured pensioners to subscribe by offering 40% discount. When my mother in law first subscribed she was paying only R221 per 6 months. She is now being charged R351 every 6 months where we non-pensioners pay R831.96 per annum, this is only a 15% reduction. When I queried this with the call centre they said the Daily Times, which was initially free in the Sunday Times subscription, is no longer free.
Why can the subscription not be offered without the Daily Times, OR, why can the discount not apply to the whole subscription? To go from paying a mere R390 per annum in 2007 to R832 in 2013, (or R221 per 6mths in 2009 to R351 in 2013 for pensioners), is a huge jump and I just feel that customers are "lured" into this subscription thinking it is a bargain with free weekday papers, which you all of a sudden are paying for!!!
