Belly Off April winner prize still not received

Newspapers & Magazines

It is with such frustration and sadness that I have to write this report on a magazine I have been reading for over 6 years. I won the April 2013 Belly Off prize (note the magazine comes out end of March) I lost 40kg and shared the story with Men's Health (MH) to help encourage others and share my story. Between me, my family and friends over 54 copies of April's issue was purchased. As part of winning the April Belly Off there is a Reebok hamper worth some R3000 which has running shoes, bags, sportswear etc. I spoke to the relevant editors I was working with and they advised that Reebok will administer the prize directly. In early May I called Reebok HQ SA in Durban and spoke to the marketing manager who insisted the prizes are all done and administered by MH. One of the people I was speaking to referred me to Hishaam Solomon the marketing manager at Media 24 who has simply not replied to any of my emails enquiring about the prize and red tape. It is simply abhorrent that such a reputable media group and magazine would tarnish their good names with what essentially seems like false advertising from where I am standing. It has been over 3 months of enquiry.
