Cancellation

I called the number 0860 5252 00 three weeks or four weeks ago and I spoke to one of the ladies wotking there, I told her i want to cancel my sucscription and she checked me on the system using my phone number since i didnt know my subscription number and she prtended as if she's busy and the next thing she told me my membership was cancelled, I called today the 1st July to check of its was cancelled and the lady who helped me said its not cancelled and it doesnt even show on their system that its cancelled, now my question is if its not cancelled then what was the lady busy with all the time we were on the phone. Im very disappointed becasue I thought they do good business, since im moving to Limpopo I thought when Im settled I'll be able to join them again, but it shows they dont care at all about their customers.
