Missing Pets Found

I lost my 2 youngsters - Jack Russels over the Easter weekend do to complex renovations. I have put up posters all over my residentual area as well as my family vet and neighbouring vets. They have also been in contact with their various branches to see if anyone has found them. My sister and myself also contacted SPCA in Roodepoort and they had nothing. This morning my sister took a chance and called SPCA in Randburg to see if they have any Jackies that were brought in - to our suprise and relief 2 yound Jack Russels were brought in over the same period in which my babies went missing. My sister sent photographs through to them so that they could give us a more of an indication as to whether it was them or not. Katharine confirmed that they match the photographs. However missing the "5 day recovery" period i have to complete an adoption proceedure - which i am happy to do and they will also need to come to my house to do an inspection - which i am happy with. I ewas then told that i need to pay a finders fee of R550 per dog ontop of all of that! How can the SPCA charge a finders fee when they are supposed to be helping citizens find their missing animals! This is disgusting!
