Birds & Pets For Africa
BOUGHT SICK BIRD - STAFF HAS NO SYMPATHY

Miscellaneous

I bought a baby Genday Conure from Birds for Africa in High road Pomana. This is not the first baby bird i have raised, so I thought there was something wrong when the litte bird had no appitite.
She got worse and i Phoned on Friday - very upset as I needed some answers. I spoke to a female there and she told me i had to force feed this little bird. I was shocked, as not healthy bird would have to be forcefead. i paid R559.00 for this litte bird including some porridge. She told me to go and get an Antibiotic from the petshop.
I took this litte bird to the VET - who told me it had phlem on its lungs -and was very sick.. need less to say, R330.00 later in VET bills this liitle thing died Friday night, leaving my little ones and myself in tears and very upsep. I am shocked about the no care attitued. It is not just about the money but us really falling in love with this litte bird. I had to go all the way to Pretoria to buy a new one for my kids, and the new and healthy baby bird does not have to be force fed at all - it has a healthy appetite.
