Lacklisted unfairly

I had an acc with Avon then I decided to close it and just pay the balance and don't order any more stuff, so I paid on the 6th of june 2012 bt on the 18 of july I got an sms saying I haven't paid nd I'm balcklisted from a company in bloemfontein which Avon forwarded my documents to. I faxed statements to mr naidoo and he said I am clear but now its affecting me coz I don't owe them anymore. Now I just applied for a job and they say I'm blacklisted.
