SAPO "We Deliver, Whatever It Takes"... NOT

Miscellaneous

An item was posted to me on 9 Feb 2013.
Apparently workers are on an illegal strike, yet again!!
My question is not when will I be receiving my parcel... who would I be kidding asking such a question, expecting to receive a straight forward response... My question is... Will I EVER receive this parcel? The parcel being posted is of value, not to mention the fee I paid for postage.
Assuming I don't ever receive this parcel, which is what I could probably expect from SAPO, by now I'm sure the parcel is lost, burnt or destroyed in some or other way by the strikers, would I at least receive a reimbursement due to my parcel being of value? Or since they're striking, again, would I not be able to even receive a refund?

I need to know where I stand and what my rights are in this situation. I've browsed through other complaints pertaining to the same nature and none of them received any clear response whatsoever. It's pretty much all "copy & paste" responses.
I need facts, not a mere "generalised" response to make me think that somewhere along the line there is hope that it will be resolved soon!!!
