S A Post Office poor service

I have posted a parcel on the 14th of February to New Zealand. Just to find out today 19th of February that the parcel is still at Witspos. The post office employees are having an illegal strike. They have the last parcel I sent and looks like I am going to loose this one also. They don't pay your money back for the contents but only the postage fee after about 3 months. If they kne that the people are striking why do they take your parcel at the Post Office.
