My mom bought a Ford Ecosport and paid cash. She had to wait as there was a waiting list. She was ecstatic to hear from the salesman, Pierre Beeslaar at Steyns Ford, that they had one for her. We PRE-ARRANGED with Pierre that we will collect the car on 1 Feb. We arrived at Steyns Ford, my Mom was eager to take possession of the car.

We walked into the showroom, expecting the car to stand there, with a ribbon but we couldn't find it, we asked Pierre where the car was and he didn't know?? We found the car outside, filthy, unwashed, finger and hand prints and dirty seats. I was furious and his excuse was that they had a lot of cars and there wasn't time to wash it and prepare it for collection?

When I asked to speak to the Dealer Principle, I was "summonsed" to his office? Why didn't he get out of his chair and come and look at why I am complaining? Why did I need to go to him? His excuse was the same, that they were busy and that I must accept that "things happen" and take it or cancel the contract. We had to "take' it and they did clean it and brought it to her later, but the bad service just spoiled the whole affair of going to fetch a new car, clean, with a ribbon!
