In Sept 2013 I purchased a Land Rover Discovery 3 from EJX Auto. Very soon after taking delivery I found that the Rear Diff Motor was faulty and was advised by Land Rover SA that this was on its way of seizing altogether. I refereed this back to EJX and was told to take the vehicle to Brit Auto for the necessary. However, after Brit confirmed the quote to EJX (R4800 odd) this repair/replacement was rejected by Mervin. I refereed this then to the Consumer Council and they in turn acknowledge that this is in contravention of The Consumer Act and have advise now to refer this to the Motor Ombudsman for further obliteration. I again requested EJX to consider the repairs and gain this request was rejected. Under the Consumer Act any blatant defects within 6 moths of purchase have got to be addressed. Mervin appears to not care about this and continues to not be interested addressing the issue. The sale has been done - and they are no longer interested. Their none commitment and attitude is the worse that I have encountered for a very long time..
