I booked my vehicle in for service during the December period and specifically instructed the service advisor to carry out the 210 000 kms service. This was also recorded on the job card. I was later called and permission requested from me to replace certain part which I agreed. I was informed that the service was performed, for which I paid for. The service book was stamped and signed off by Toyota but during the first week of January my car broke down only to find out that the Toyota team had not actually carried out the service they were asked to and in accordance with the service manual. The campbelt (this should have been replaced with service) of the car had snapped and in the process damaging one of the engine parts. I reported this matter to Toyota and this was brought to the attention of the Service Manager who promised to get back to me and never did.
