I bought my 5 door ford fiesta 2011 model from ford McCarthy the Glen in February 2011. With that it came with a four year service plan. I took my car for the first service which I had to take the car back within a month as the car was faulty and switching off continuously. I took it back and had to pay cash for a mechanical problem which according to my understanding was supposed to be covered by the service plan as the car was not switching off before I sent it for a service.

Last year in August I had my 2nd service

On Wednesday 29/01/2014 I took the car into Ford McCarthy the Glen for the car to fix another mechanical problem (the alternator needs to be replaced) and later was told that I need to pay R 3560 for the car to be seen to and was informed that my service plan (Warranty) was cancelled. I did not receive any calls or sms from Ford to inform me that my service plan is cancelled. When I had bought the car no warranty was explained to me how the service plan works. When I had called into Ford McCarthy the Glen to ask why is the service plan was cancelled I was told that I did not follow the terms and conditions of the service plan.
