My girlfriend and I took her 2012 Toyota Aygo for its 2nd or 30 000km service, we had booked with Toyota in advance, when we fetched the car that afternoon we were informed that the brakes, windscreen wipers and front tires had not been changed as there was no stock, and we would have to come back in a 2 weeks. When we fetched the car for the second time the tires had still not been rotated or changed, we must now do it ourselves.
(nor were we informed that the worn front tires had not been dealt with)
1. Why should a simple service require 3 separate occasions?
2. Why is Toyota happy to give back a car with worn wipers, breaks and front tyres?
3. Why is it the customers responsibility to make sure these 3 safety hazards are attended too?
4. Most people would not check there car after a service and would assume that it was done, if we had not noticed the worn tyres and windscreen wipers, a serious accident could have occurred as a result.
